Metallex opened in the UK in 1990. Our products are manufactured utilising the most sophisticated and up to date technology.

Metallex offers laser cutting facilities, ideal for small batch quantities, prototypes and any special slot shape you require, in mild or stainless steel and aluminum. Coupled with our water cutting option we can offer you the added flexibility of using glass, stone, wood, plastics and high density laminates. Should you require a more completed product, powder coating facilities and chromium plating are also available.

At Metallex we are geared up to the needs of a constantly changing market. We understand that designers must have the freedom to specify new configurations, sizes and steel grades. Our manufacturing process gives the facility for an infinitely variable pitch. Tooling is presently available for over 1,000 different slot patterns. The combinations of these two factors provide the designer with virtually limitless freedom.
The essence of any quality slotted tube starts with the raw material. Prior to slotted, tubes are produced from specially selected coils. Close monitoring of the tube rolling process guarantees we produce slotted tubes to the tightest of tolerances. This ensures trouble free installation when our product becomes part of your finished system.
Traditionally, slotted tubes are produced in square, rectangular and round. In addition, the Metallex range includes flat oval, elliptical oval and octagonal. Special shaped profiles can also be produced to customer specification.
Choice extends beyond a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Whilst commercial steel forms most of our production, other materials such as stainless steel or aluminium are available where they are integral to your application.
Competitive And Cost Effective
In today's competitive markets we are all cost-conscious. Minimal waste means tightly controlled costing. Metallex customers have the opportunity to select either cut lengths or multiple randoms. We provide the additional facility of increasing the pitch anywhere along the chosen multiple length, to accommodate the saw cut. This eliminates waste, reduces handling and results in lower production costs.
